Up The Line celebrates the dedication and enthusiasm of the steam railway preservation movement in Great Britain. Covering many of the lines operating preserved steam locomotives; it describes the history of each line and its location.
The author has travelled the country photographing these railways, documenting not just the engines but the spirit of the preservation movement. The specially shot colour photography pays tribute to the skills of the volunteers who keep these lines, engines and rolling stock alive.
