About the author

Rosie Mayglothling has always taken the opportunity to mess around in boats from an early age. Just 18 months after taking up river rowing Rosie represented Great Britain in the Women's Eight at the 1975 World Rowing Championships. Over the next 8 years she represented GB at a further 4 World Rowing championships and at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. In 1983 she was appointed as a National Coach with the responsibility for Women's Rowing. Over the next 18 years as well as promoting women's rowing and coach education, Rosie held various roles in the international team. In 2001, Rosie was appointed as the Technical Co-ordinator for British Rowing and has worked through a very successful period for the GB Rowing Team.
